I am establishing a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) for young people aged 16 - 22 years old on the Gold Coast. 

The YAC offers young people the opportunity to meet regularly and discuss issues that matter to you; learn about civic processes; and share ideas in a respectful and collaborative environment.  

Who should apply? 

Young people should apply if you are: 

• Aged 16 - 22 years and live, work or go to school / university on the Gold Coast 

• Interested in community issues, public policy, or civic participation 

• Want to learn and contribute, not just observe 

• Are open to listening to different perspectives 

• Can commit time to attending up to four meetings 

• No prior experience is required
